Job Description
Our client is seeking an Tax Analyst, with sales/use tax experience, to join the team. This is a critical role that will play a key role in the strategy and long-term growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Research and respond to sales/use tax queries.
- Will review, approve, and maintain resale and exemption certificates
- Ensure accurate tax calculations.
- Stay informed regarding tax legislation changes and drive the implementation.
- Advise the internal leadership team about the tax implications of new business initiatives.
- Review as well as analyze tax returns, accruals, and payments.
- Oversee and participate in Ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Must have at least 5 years of accounting and corporate sales/use tax experience.
- Familiarity with Thompson Reuters OneSource or other sales tax software.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills as well as problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including lookups and pivot tables.
