Job Description
Our client, a well respected Accounting firm is seeking a Tax Managing Director to join their growing company!
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Liaison between clients and internal stakeholders ensuring excellent communication and deliverables
- Manage a portfolio of clients overseeing the tax planning as well as compliance
- Will lead the client service initiatives with client engagement plans and the expectations for managing client relationships
- Ensure all compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Advisor by providing expert industry knowledge and areas for value add
- Will manage governmental tax examinations and may represent clients with tax authorities when needed.
- Analyze reports and data, and addressing issues or discrepancies
- Mentor for tax associates and support their professional growth and development
- Assist with performance management
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- CPA certification is required with an MS in taxation as a plus
- Must have at least 15+ years of relevant tax experience, and at least half the time in a managerial or director-level position
- Must have demonstrated experience managing complex tax engagements and client portfolios
- Extensive knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code and related tax laws
- Outstanding communication skills to foster client relationships
- Experience with tax software including ProSystem fx Tax, and BNA products
- Ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams
