Test Technician III (Product Development)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Test Technician III to support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical products within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for executing test procedures, diagnosing issues, documenting results, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.

The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, experience working with electronic test equipment, and the ability to interpret technical documentation and diagnostic data.
Responsibilities
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting on electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies, subsystems, and finished products.
  • Execute established test procedures using standard electronic test equipment.
  • Test printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), power control panels, fixtures, and other components to verify functionality and performance.
  • Work from specifications, schematics, technical manuals, work instructions, and verbal guidance to complete testing activities accurately.
  • Utilize a variety of electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and other input/output testing devices.
  • Diagnose and communicate technical issues identified during testing and collaborate with supervisors or engineering teams to resolve problems.
  • Record, compile, and maintain accurate test data and documentation.
  • Support product development activities, prototype testing, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school education, military electronics training, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience testing electrical or electronic systems, PCBAs, assemblies, or related products.
  • Proficiency using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and other diagnostic devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, specifications, and diagnostic information.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Comfortable working around low- and high-voltage systems, including 110/120 VAC and three-phase power systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting product development, prototype builds, or new product introduction activities.
  • Experience within manufacturing environments such as medical device, electronics, industrial equipment, aerospace, or defense.
  • Familiarity with quality documentation and test reporting requirements.
  • Military electronics experience is highly desirable.
Working Environment
  • Approximately 90% of work is performed within a light industrial manufacturing or production environment.
  • The remaining time may be spent in office, laboratory, engineering, or warehouse settings.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, and testing devices.
  • Ability to reach, bend, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and materials consistent with the essential functions of the position.
Pay Rate Range: $20.00-$31.00 per hour depending on experience
