Position Summary:
The Vice President of General Operations will manage key operational functions, including field operations, client relationships, human resources and talent acquisition, legal and business development execution.  Reporting to the Company’s President and serving as a member of the company’s senior leadership team, this hands-on leader will develop business and operational strategy, drive effective and high-quality services delivery, help build sustainable business growth, and mentor managers. Key responsibilities will also include expanding the business (both in service offerings and geographically), driving revenue growth, and implementing processes and practices to enhance time and cost efficiencies. This leader will also serve as an internal and external face of the organization, representing the company to key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee service delivery operations, including customer support and project management.
  • Monitor KPIs for service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to improve performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Serve as the internal and external face of the organization, representing the company in key industry engagements.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing talent within operations.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement new technologies.
  • Implement process improvements to optimize time and cost efficiencies.
  • Lead Business Development efforts to expand market presence and drive revenue growth. Expand operations nationally while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven track record in operations management and revenue growth strategies.
  • Deep understanding of service operations and customer needs in the life sciences industry.
  • Experience with lab and facilities operations and/or contractor professional services strongly preferred.
  • Experience in hiring and managing field personnel and client relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and performance analysis.
  • Analytical skills to identify trends and optimize efficiency.
  • Commitment to developing community members with potential to serve the industry.
  • Hands-on leadership with an office and field presence.
