Job Description

The Panther Group has an immediate need for a Warehouse Receiver in the Franklin, MA area.  This position involves managing the receiving, storing, and shipping of goods in and out of the warehouse.  The ideal candidate will ensure inventory accuracy, assist with the efficient movement of materials, and will help maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving Goods:
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
  • Inspect and verify the accuracy of received items, ensuring they match the purchase orders.
  • Visually inspect for shipping and handling damage and alert supervisor as needed
  • Notify supervisors of any discrepancies or failed transactions.
  • Organize and label products properly for storage.
   
  • Inventory Management:
  • Track inventory levels, reorder consumable stock when necessary, and assist in stock rotation.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with quarterly or annual physical inventory counts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse layout to ensure easy access to products.
  • Work with the warehouse team to optimize storage space and flow of goods.
 
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
 
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and management to meet operational goals.
  • Assist with cross-functional tasks, such as picking, packing, put-aways or organizing, when needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
  • 1+ year of previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving role is preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
