Warehouse Shipper
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping Orders:
- Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to customer orders.
- Select appropriate shipping methods and ensure proper labeling for deliveries.
- Select and use proper packaging material in accordance with accepted standards to ensure components aren’t damaged in transit
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups. (Parcels and couriers)
- Ensure that all orders are shipped out on time and in good condition.
- Ensure outgoing orders are complete and quantity is accurate.
- Inventory Management:
- Track inventory levels, reorder consumable stock when necessary, and assist in stock rotation.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with quarterly or annual physical inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse layout to ensure easy access to products.
- Work with the warehouse team to optimize storage space and flow of goods.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and management to meet operational goals.
- Assist with cross-functional tasks, such as picking, packing, put-aways or organizing, when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
- 1+ year of previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving role is preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
