Job Description


The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Workday ERP Business Analyst for a hybrid opportunity with a leading Boston-based organization.

This role is ideal for a business analyst who combines strong Workday expertise with agile delivery experience and stakeholder management skills. You will serve as a key liaison between IT, Finance, and HR teams, helping drive Workday enhancements, support ERP initiatives, and ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable gathering requirements, facilitating agile ceremonies, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring solutions meet business needs from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  • Partner with business stakeholders, IT, Finance, and HR teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to drive alignment and decision-making
  • Define business priorities and support product roadmap development
Workday ERP Support & Enhancement
  • Support Workday HCM and Financials initiatives, enhancements, and operational improvements
  • Validate Workday configurations against documented business requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure successful implementation and support of Workday solutions
  • Assist with release planning, system updates, and deployment readiness activities
Agile Project Delivery
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including:
    • Sprint Planning
    • Daily Standups
    • Sprint Reviews
    • Retrospectives
  • Maintain project backlogs and sprint metrics
  • Help identify and remove blockers impacting project delivery
  • Track project status, risks, dependencies, and action items
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Develop and execute:
    • Test plans
    • Test cases
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts
  • Coordinate testing activities with business stakeholders
  • Track and resolve defects through completion
  • Ensure solutions meet documented business and technical requirements
Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Create and maintain:
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Process flows
    • Functional specifications
    • Configuration documentation
  • Maintain project documentation using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across business and technology teams
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role within an IT environment
  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM, Workday Financials, and/or Workday Integrations
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into functional solutions
  • Strong Agile/Scrum experience, including facilitation of sprint ceremonies
  • Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases, and functional documentation
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Workday Pro Certification
  • Full-cycle Workday implementation experience
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations or major system upgrades
  • Familiarity with Workday configuration and integrations
  • Knowledge of Finance and/or HR business processes
  • Experience working in complex enterprise environments

What We're Looking For

Pay is $34.97-$42 per hour DOE
